Sex charges against Aurora man dismissed

ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP — Sexual-abuse charges have been dropped against a Aurora man who had been accused of molesting two young boys in 2003.
The Kane County State's Attorney's Office decided not to prosecute **** ****** on two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and six counts of criminal sexual abuse.
*****'s attorney had filed a motion to dismiss the case last month based on the trial extending past 120 days, but Kane County prosecutors agreed not to pursue the charges before the judge could rule on that motion.
"He had maintained his innocence all along, and we were prepared to go to trial," said *****'s attorney, Kathleen Colton. "He is extremely happy.
